Not sure if you had a clue about this BUT Westchester County has an awesome opportunity for bikers, rollerbladers, runners, and walkers. In the months of May, June, and September the Bronx River Parkway from 10am to 2pm. The ride is 13.1 miles and starts at the Westchester County Center in White Plains and ends at Scarsdale Road in Yonkers. You can jump on anywhere in between or ride the whole way through.
Luckily, my girlfriend lives in White Plains and I live in Yonkers. We have set a standing date to ride our bikes every Sunday that the Bronx River Parkway is closed. So far, we have been keeping to our promise and its awesome. It's the best way to spend my Sunday mornings: Catching up on each others lives, talking up our boyfriends and being healthy!
Now that I'm a Blogger, I will take some pictures of the happenings on the parkway. It's a great place to ride. Perhaps I'll see you there. We don't have many Sundays left!
