The home gym

As a former self proclaimed gym rat, I will NEVER knock the gym. I think gyms are a great way to get a community to become active. I remember when NYSC first came to White Plains, NY and how it really motivated people to join and workout with their friends, family, coworkers, and business partners. When I lived right across the street from the gym, I spent two hours a day there taking fitness classes or working out on my own and I loved it. When I moved, the biggest downside was the lack of gym access anywhere near me. It was real bummer for me because it meant I had to prepare in advance for the gym. It became increasingly more difficult when I noticed I wasn't checking in at the gym often, yet I was still paying membership. I hate paying for something I don't use.

One of my good friends, who is in great shape NEVER goes to the gym. She works out at home using workout videos and I thought, maybe that's better for me. I now LOVE working out at home in my pajamas. It's the first thing I do in the morning and I never have to walk out of my house. Check out my home gym:
