Today was a Zumba Fitness filled Sunday. Two hours of non-stop Zumba with the Zumba Instructors for Pink team. Once again, we are raising money for the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer organization. Last year, Amy Olin - a fellow Westchester instructor - invited me and other Zumba instructors to join her in leading the warm-up at the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk. We made such an impact, that we were asked to do it again this year. Amy came up with a great idea for us to participate in an official Zumbathon to raise money for the event. She coordinated a great event and the team raised $1100.00.
What a success! Catch us at the warm-up on October 16th at Manhattanville College. Many of us will also be at the Z8 Fitness Party in Pink event on October 15th. That means I'll be having yet another Zumba filled weekend soon. Last year, I was so sick that I couldn't stay for the walk portion. This year, I'm also planning on running the Making Strides event to continue working on my stamina.

The little world of Zumba Fitness fans is quite small. I reconnected with some old friends, saw past students and made new friends. Can't beat that. If you are interested in attending the Party in Pink, click on this link and purchase a ticket!
