I have been meaning to write this post for weeks now. Over four weeks, I SWEAR. Back in mid January, I raved about my new red highlights. Well, that didn't last very long. My hair began oxidizing IMMEDIATELY. I failed to realize and to mention to my colorist that I sweat like every day. Sweat, mainly water, also contains minerals, lactate, and urea. Colored hair oxidizes prematurely when exposed to sweat. Working out everyday means sweating everyday, showering twice a day, and washing your hair EVERYDAY.
Needless to say, my hair color is much lighter than it was.
I kind of like it and might go back to retouch THIS color instead. Any tips on what I can do to avoid my hair color from fading away so quickly?
